There really is nothing better than a stylish comfy tee shirt that you can wear with just about anything. If you're like me, there's always that one tee that looks so good with sweats, jeans, skirts or whatever. My love of cute tees inspired this first addition to the Blue Knight collection. The design celebrates my novella about an African American female pastry chef and her unique chocolate shop in Harlem. Click here to get one of these crazy sexy tees if you just love it. The "love chocolate" tee is available for a limited time.

There's always a story behind a story. Monet Love was inspired by a few things, first and foremost being that I really wanted to write an erotic romance. Second is the fact that I lived in Washington, DC for a long time. The politicians, the lobbyists, the spooks ... there are thousands of stories to tell about those type of people and rightly so. But, there also are millions of just regular people doing regular things in the Washington, DC area, too. The "regular people" living inside and outside the Beltway just going about their daily lives in that high-powered environment are who I like writing about the most. When did you first start writing? I'd say since I was about 12 or 13 years old. I wrote my first short story for eight grade English class. I remember my teacher loving it. What motivated you to become an indie author? A love of storytelling, plain and simple. I love telling stories directly to readers, bypassing the middleman. I'm not one of those authors who can tell you about how I approached and got turned down by 100 different literary agents and publishing companies. In fact, the only time I ever approached a publishing company was a few years back. I answered a "Call for Submissions." Someone in charge actually got back to me and was polite. My work wasn't a good fit for what the company was doing, that's all. When you're not writing, how do you spend your time? I might write steamy erotica, but my pass times actually are quite pedestrian. When I'm not writing, I'm usually cooking or taking care of my home. I garden a little and of course, reading, watching TV or listening to music are things that I do to relax. How do you discover the eBooks you read? Blogs, Wikipedia, social networking websites, a basic web search every now and again. Instagram is working out to be a great way to discover new books. Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you? Reading was a requirement when I was growing up. From a very young age, my parents either read to us or had us reading. "The Hat" by Tomi Ungerer was one of my favorite stories as a kid. I was captivated by the magical hat and of course, the adventure. What is your e-reading device of choice? My smartphone and tablet. I'm an app person. Kindle and Kobo are the apps I use the most. What's next for Blue Knight? I just finished publishing an expanded version of Monet Love in the erotic romance genre. I published it in 2012 and got some great feedback and questions from readers that I answer in this revised, updated edition. I also republished Chocolate Comes to Harlem, which is a non-erotica drama about a pastry chef. And now, I'm ready to start publishing three series currently in the works. One is called "The Mogul's Bodyguard," an action/suspense about a hip hop producer and his highly skilled, ex-secret service bodyguard who happens to be a woman. "The Adventures of Beck" and "The Coffee Shop Scandals" also are on the horizon -- both in the erotica/romance genre. Monet Love, the Erotic Romance Expanded, Part 1 is finally out and for sale worldwide on Amazon.com, soon to be on sale at BN, Kobo and more.
